Innocent Light is ODT's new full-length work that depicts the urge of one self in wishing for the 'light' to illuminate his soul.
A major work that attempts to portray the East meets West methodology, the choreographer would like to exemplify the Asian cultural heritage by combining movement vocabulary and quality, music, sets and stage design to closely integrate with contemporary aesthetic and symbolic rituals.
This task of presenting an Asian contemporary dance signifies the strong influence of western culture in us while retaining our indigenous cultural belief.
This cross cultural sentiment has led to the expression of a common shared contemporary urge - the need of a 'light' that dispels the darkness of ignorance, inspires and directs our innocent heart in the pursuit of a sanctuary with peace and happiness, in this period of global & domestic uncertainties.
